DIARY: Bullmore's techniques make givers feel good

Forget Senokot, the only truly natural way of guaranteeing a stampede to the loos is the announcement that there's going to be a whipround for charity.

But ±±¾©Èü³µpk10's agony uncle, Jeremy Bullmore, is a seasoned hand at fundraising and the gentle art of persuasion and adopted a rather more sophisticated technique to extract money for Nabs at the recent Area Awards.

With empty glass in hand and avuncular smile on face, Bullmore joined the IPA president, Stephen Woodford, and mingled with guests, raising more than £1,000. And he donated his fee for compering the evening to the charity. This really was the "gentle alternative".
