
Deutsche Telekom's platform will build on its existing German platforms that include Mediaload, Videoload and Gamesload and offer content across all devices, including music and video as well as newspaper articles, the Financial Times Deutschland has said.
In addition, the platform will offer applications for phones which will work for various handset brands.
Last month, the mobile phone operator was one of 24 leading operators along with Orange and Vodafone to build an alliance to build an global open industry platform to deliver apps to all mobile phones, in a bid to combat Apple's dominance in the market.
The Wholesale Applications Community also includes operators such as AT&T, Verizon Wireless and SK Telecom, handset makers LG Electronics, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, as well as mobile industry trade body GSMA.
