The ad, created by FCB Inferno, shows different teachers at work talking about the positives of their job.
At the end of the film, the copy reads: "£22k to £27k minimum starting salary", "up to £30k tax-free to train" and "up to £65k as a great teacher".
Complainants argued whether the £65,000 claim was misrepresentative of how much teachers could earn.
The DfE responded to the ASA explaining that the £65,000 salary was an aspirational figure and provided research that showed 12,845 teachers earned £65,000 or more in November 2014.
The ASA said: "We considered that most viewers would understand that the achievement of top range salaries would depend on a number of factors, such as location, responsibilities and competence."
