Dennis close to finalising sale of US magazines

LONDON - Dennis Publishing is close to finalising the sale of its US magazines Maxim, Stuff and music title Blender to private equity firm Quadrangle Group for an estimated $250m (£125.4m).

Dennis founder and owner Felix Dennis put the magazines on the block in February but is retaining the US version of The Week.

It is unclear whether Maxim's international editions, which number around 30, will be included, though Maxim in the UK has previously been ruled out.

Quadrangle's team is led by Kent Brownridge, who is a former vice-president of Rolling Stone publisher Wenner Media.

Dennis UK executives declined to comment on the speculation.
