
The creation of the role follows Dennis' investment in its digital business,
Webb will be responsible for exploring opportunities in south-east and southern Asia, China and South America, with the view to expanding Dennis' brands internationally.
He will focus on the digital mobile phone brand Know Your Mobile in the UK and India, and Know Your Cell in the US and Latin America.
Webb will take up the role with immediate effect, reporting directly to James Tye, chief executive of Dennis Publishing.
Webb was formerly group publishing director for the business technology group at Incisive Media, looking after brands such as Computing and V3.co.uk, as well as leading, creating and developing the company’s mobile strategies for users and clients.
His career at Incisive began in 2003, as group marketing and circulation manager for the consumer technology group.
In 2005, Webb launched KnowledgeStorm in the UK and France, which became IThound.com, the UK’s leading technology lead-generation platform.
Prior to joining Incisive, he worked as a consultant on MSN.co.uk and spent three years working as European marketing manager for Adobe.
