The magazine, formerly owned by Golden Gate Production Company, has been acquired with the aim of bolstering the Dennis Publishing motoring portfolio that includes Auto Express, Evo and Octane.

Land Rover Monthly's seven-strong editorial, advertising and events team will be hired by Dennis Publishing and will continue to work in their Suffolk premises initially. They will later be relocated to Dennis' Wollaston offices, to join the Evo and Octane editorial teams. Land Rover Monthly will become part of publishing director Geoff Love's portfolio.

Previous owners Richard and Cathie Howell-Thomas will remain in the business as editorial director and associate publisher respectively.

Launched in 1998, the magazine covers the entire Land Rover spectrum and with an unaudited circulation of 25,000, the print version and its website provide hands-on advice and in-depth reviews.

Land Rover Monthly also hosts the annual LANDROVERmax show in July that has more than 15,000 visitors and 150 exhibitors.
