
The show will be a mix of big name interviews, features on celebrity, music and fashion as well as gossip and "plenty of banter". It is understood that in the first week guests could include Kerry Katona and boy band JLS.
The series will replace 'Live From Studio Five' and will be broadcast between 6.30pm and 7.00pm Monday to Friday, straight after the Australian soaps ‘Neighbours’ and ‘Home & Away’.
Van Outen said: "I can’t wait to get cracking on ‘OK! TV’. I have a huge appetite for all things showbiz so this show is right up my street. I’m really looking forward to working with Matt and we can’t wait to show the viewers what we’ve got in store."
Matt Johnson said: "I am very excited to be part of OK! TV and I think Denise and I are going to have a lot of fun together – I’ve long been an admirer of her presenting style and know we’ll get along like a house on fire."
The show will form a key part of Channel 5’s schedule and its commercial team is currently speaking to agencies about potential cross media partnerships with Northern & Shell’s magazine OK! and newspapers, the Daily Star and Daily Express.
It is understood that talks are still ongoing between Channel 5 and ‘Big Brother’ producer Endemol to bring the reality format to Channel 5, something N&S owner .
