Defra/DfT call pitch for CO2 campaign

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Department for Transport are seeking an agency to create digital advertising for the Government's planned "Act on CO2" marketing campaign.

COI, which is handling the pitch, has approached five agencies with a brief to develop an online portal to encourage people to help tackle climate change by reducing their CO2 emissions. The task will also involve the creation of online advertising to drive people to the site.

May Race, a senior digital media manager at COI, said: "We need a unified digital strategy across the 'Act on CO2' campaign in order to deliver a consistent and cohesive message on climate change.

"Digital marketing will play an integral role in meeting the wider campaign objectives and we are very much looking forward to working with the successful agency."

The Government's current online "Act on CO2" activity includes a carbon calculator on the Directgov website and a dedicated section on the DfT's site.
