Debenhams’ Christmas ad aims to build on the department store’s current autumn campaign. The spot, created by JWT, shows a young couple searching for each other on the streets of Budapest before being reunited at an ice rink. Images of designers’ sketches are interspersed with the live action. It is accompanied by an orchestral version of Youth – the soundtrack to Debenhams’ previous ads – by Foxes. To reflect the Christmas period, the brand’s usual strapline has been altered to: "Wishes made fabulous."
