De Vere Hotels gives brand task to Albion

De Vere Hotels, the hotel and leisure chain that includes the Village Leisure Resorts and Brighton's Grand Hotel, has appointed Albion to its £3 million creative account.

Albion was awarded the business without a pitch. The incumbent agency, Spinnaker, had held the account for less than a year.

Albion has been tasked with designing a brand identity for the group, which comprises 35 properties in the UK including the Grand, Oulton Hall in Leeds and Cameron House, an 18th-century baronial mansion in Loch Lomond.

The new branding is scheduled to launch in November and the main advertising will run across online, press and outdoor media at the end of the year.

Jason Goodman, the managing director of Albion, said: "This is a very exciting win for us. De Vere is really investing in its hotels and has a brand vision based on the delivery of excellence across the guest experience. Albion has the opportunity to create an exciting, innovative and totally integrated campaign for De Vere to communicate the group's brand values to existing and new customers."
