De Nardis lands CEO role at CIA

De Nardis: passion to build network

CIA has appointed Mainardo de Nardis as its first worldwide chief executive officer in a restructured organisation that unites all the agency's regions.

The company has 66 offices spread across 29 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the US and is aiming to expand into three new countries before the summer.

It believes consolidating the regions into one unified brand called CIA Worldwide will bring significant benefits to clients and stakeholders in
the company.

It says the CIA Impact positioning, the sharing of CIA core values with all staff, and the development of multi-market clients will be the driving force behind the change.

CIA is also to further integrate the complementary skills of sister Tempus Group agencies - Added Value, Outrider, Brown KSDP and OHAL - into its offer to customers, in a bid to maximise client value.

De Nardis joined CIA in 1993 when Medianetwork - the Italian agency of which he was a partner -  became the first operation outside the UK to join CIA.

In 1998 he became European CEO and was appointed to the Tempus board. De Nardis commented: "My passion is to build the
network and this new restructure will pull all the regions
together."

Wheldon: doing a fantastic job

Asked if the restructure would affect David Wheldon, CIA's current CEO, de Nardis said: "His role will not be affected. "David will continue to work on the integration of all our sister brands.

"He is very valuable to CIA and is doing a fantastic job."
