The firm’s Event Networks and Telecoms division will make the trip over to Osaka to design, install and manage a temporary internet and telecommunications infrastructure for the show from 29 October to 2 November.
The venue, INTEX Osaka, currently has limited internet provision, which means DB will have to create an entire network from scratch.
"We have already begun planning for the event, even though it’s 15 months away. We’ve carried out two site visits, and we’ll be undertaking a third soon," explained DB Systems’ managing director David Bulley.
"Being a banking event, one of the most crucial aspects of this contract will be to ensure security. As such, we are providing two connections to the site from different locations and different backbone suppliers. Each one of these connections will be able to handle 1GB bursts of information," he added.
DB Systems has experience on working on large projects, having provided a similar temporary set-up for Farnborough Air Show for several years.
