Dazed & Confused and Tennents lager create T magazine

LONDON - Dazed & Confused has teamed up with Tennents lager to create T magazine, the first in a series of bi-annual collector's magazines that will 'Celebrate the Song', featuring artists from Muddy Waters to Mike Skinner.

With the advent of MP3 playlists, internet radio and mobile ringtones, T magazine aims to capitalise on the power of individual songs and will take an irreverent look at all aspects of the song and songwriting, past present and future.

The magazine will also feature artists as diverse as Woody Guthrie and Wu Tang Clan. There will also be a nostalgic nod, which sees the flexi-disc revived as two playable pages featuring two exclusive songs from up and coming artists. The magazine's format will resemble a limited edition 10-inch record.

T magazine has been illustrated by award-winning designer Jo Ratcliffe and features articles on the state of song today, as well as contributions from leading musicians and artists.

Featured in the launch issue, available on October 4, is Nancy Sinatra talking about the true story behind 'These Boots', Billy Bragg honouring Bob Marley, and Bjork describing how her Olympic song came to pass. It will also feature written contributions from the likes of The Charlatan's Tim Burgess and Alison Goldfrapp.

Other artists featured in the launch issue include James Lavelle, Mike Stock (Stock, Aitken & Waterman), DJ Format and Coldcut.
