Wallpaper, the style magazine, has appointed Christopher Lockwood as its new publisher to replace Alasdhair Willis who left earlier this year.
Lockwood was previously the group ad director on Dazed & Confused and will report to Wallpaper's publishing director Richard Johnstone and will head up the magazine's advertising and commercial arm.
He joins Wallpaper following the departure of three of its key staff, most publicly that of Tyler Brûlé, its founding editor, who left the title in May to focus on his creative agency Wink. Wallpaper's executive editor Tim Clark and publisher Willis left the magazine soon after.
Brûlé sold Wallpaper to Time Inc in 1997. The tile was later swallowed up by the AOL/Time Warner deal. It subsequently fell underneath IPC's umbrella of magazines when the publishing company was acquired by AOL last year.
