The Darwin Centre

What's it got? Opening in September, The Darwin Centre will be the most significant development at the museum since it moved to South Kensington in 1881. The structure took more than two years to build, and contained within its 65-metre-long, eight-storey-high cocoon will be 16,000sqm of floor space, enough to host up to 350 people for a drinks reception. Guests will be able to experience the work of the museum's scientists first-hand, as well as viewing a collection of 20 million insects and plants while taking in views over the gardens.

Preferred supplier list: A comprehensive list of around 50 suppliers, including Dish, Sternberg Clarke and Fisher Productions.
