The competition took place at AdConnection's offices earlier this month. It challenged a shortlist of eight media owners to present an innovative media idea to the AdConnection team in just five minutes.
AdConnection's team of account handlers scored each media owner on the quality of the idea and how it was communicated.
Tyers' presentation focussed on Specific Media's new product 'Rome', an online advertising format that allows advertisers to take advantage of widescreen technology.
The panel said the idea was truly innovative and was communicated by Tyers in a professional way to an extremely high standard.
Nick Baum, client service director at AdConnection, said: "The event was a huge success and the standard was incredibly high.
"A diverse range of cutting edge ideas were presented and we are looking forward to discussing how we might develop these with our clients. It's a shame in a way to pick a winner when all of the presentations were so good.
"The scores were very close, but Dan is a well deserved winner and we are delighted to award him the win. We’ve had a great response from other media owners wishing to take part and look forward to holding another challenge in a few months time."
