Daisley given digital sales director role

Emap Advertising has promoted Bruce Daisley, head of agency sales for its radio division, to the role of digital sales director.

Daisley will lead the group's digital ad strategy across online, mobile, IPTV and video-on-demand platforms. He will head a 20-strong digital sales team.

The post was created in April last year to maximise the impact of Emap's emerging platforms for brands such as Kiss, Kerrang! and FHM.com. Jason Trout, who became magazine sales director last month, initially filled the role.

Daisley has been with Emap for 10 years and led the online sales team in 2000 before moving into radio, where his team was named Media Week's sales team of the year in 2005.

The appointment comes at a critical time for Emap's digital platforms, following the departure last week of strategic marketing and brand director David Pullan and the recent acquisition of mobile service provider YoSpace.
