The review, undertaken by media specialist Boston Consulting Group (BCG), covered a range of functions at A&N Media, which includes newspaper titles Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Metro and over 200 websites including Findaproperty.com and Primelocation.com.
The review did not include Northcliffe, A&N Media's regional arm, or the editorial side of the business.
Since the start of the year A&N Media has axed around 560 jobs, primarily at Northcliffe and its printing unit.
Kevin Beatty, chief executive of A&N Media, said the review had been carried out to determine "whether we have organised ourselves in a way that is efficient and right for the market going forward".
For instance, the review looked at the reporting lines into Beatty, to see if this needed changing, and at the running of the commercial operations of the newspapers and websites.
Beatty said the review by BCG was part of an on-going process, as A&N Media looked to be fit for purpose amid a difficult national newspaper market.
It is unlikely that A&N Media will make a formal announcement about the results of the review, but changes could be introduced into the market over time.
