Daily Mail to give away 80s CDs in week-long promotion

LONDON - The Daily Mail is looking to boost its circulation with a week-long covermount promotion which will offer readers a free collection of 12 classic 80's CDs.

The promotion will offer original studio-recorded albums on CD including Spandau Ballet's 'True', Adam and the Ant's 'Prince Charming', Bonnie Tyler's 'Faster than the speed of night and Culture Club's 'Colour by Numbers'.

Readers can collect vouchers in the Daily Mail and redeem their copies of the DVDs at Tesco and WH Smith outlets across the UK or by post. The promotion launches this weekend with the first CD, Spandau Ballet 'True' free inside the Daily Mail on Saturday.

In the most recent ABC results, The Daily Mail posted a circulation of 2,258,843m, a year-on-year decline of 3.44% and down 0.52% from July this year.
