'Cursing Parrots' for UNICEF by Grey New York

A on violence against children released today by UNICEF reveals 1 in 4 young children across the world are exposed to domestic violence at home. Grey New York created a digital spot to support the launch of the report, featuring un-doctored, found-footage of real cursing parrots and the derogatory phrases they learn from their households. The message is simple: if a parrot can remember what happens in an abusive home, imagine the lasting impression abuse can have on a young child. Studies show that the first five years of a child's life are known to be the most critical for lifelong brain development, if they experience violence in these formative years, it marks them forever.
