The ice cubes have been placed at Canary Wharf, Broadgate’s Fulcrum sculpture, Westfield shopping centre, St Pancras station and the Southbank Centre.

Each one is hewn like a Swiss glacier and represents one of the five ski regions of the country. The blocks contain a frozen object representing a region and will project the sounds of that object, which can only be heard by standing on the surrounding stage.

There will also be 75 Swiss flag cards surrounding each large block. Anyone who frees a card by melting the ice around it could win a winter holiday to Switzerland.

Anthony Ganjou, chief executive of Curb, said: "With stunning visuals and emotive sounds, this installation will instantly remind consumers of the joys of holidays in Switzerland in a powerful and memorable way and encourage them to engage with the installation."

The campaign will run for two weeks, and was planned by agency The Minimart.
