Crowther appointed MediaCom Asia Pacific CEO

Alex Crowther has been appointed chief executive for MediaCom Asia Pacific, replacing Kevin Clarke, who will now head GroupM Thailand.

Crowther will be responsible for 21 MediaCom offices in 15 countries in the Asia- Pacific region. He moves from Omnicom-owned communications agency Davinci Selectwork, where he was president and CEO for the Americas and Australia.

He said: "I am extremely happy to be a part of the MediaCom family during this exciting period in our development and growth."

Mark Patterson, chief executive of GroupM Asia Pacific, said of Clarke: "He spearheaded the development of MediaCom into a first-class business with first-class clients in a matter of months, landing global clients and local business, as well as converting significant parts of P&G to MediaCom."

Stephen Allan, MediaCom worldwide chief executive, said: "I am confident that in Alex we have found a worthy successor to Kevin, someone who will continue our drive to make MediaCom the number-one agency network across Asia Pacific."

MediaCom Asia Pacific clients include Gillette and Procter & Gamble.
