Crown Business Communications has been bought by business services group Amey for £9.1m. Crown’s live event division includes product launches, small roadshows and financial meetings. It also covers some exhibition work. The company’s clients include BT, One 2 One, Egg and a number of government departments. “The takeover will not have any effect on the main business. It will be an opportunity to expand the events side of the business,” said Crown chairman Nick Lamb. Amey technology services director John Robinson said: “We are delighted with the Crown acquisition as it adds a dynamic range of creative outsourced business services to our portfolio.”
