Coty Prestige seeks digital ad agency

Coty Prestige, the fragrance company, is looking for an agency to create digital advertising for the Joop! men's fragrance range.

It is understood to be seeing agencies this week, with a view to doing online advertising and possibly creating a game. The pitch process is being run ahead of the launch of a new fragrance in the range, called Joop!Go.

The US digital agency Byte Interactive has worked on Coty brands including Sarah Jessica Parker. In the UK, it has used The Minimart to create campaigns for the teen fragrance brand Exclamation.

Coty owns the rights to numerous fragrances, ranging from classics such as Davidoff perfumes, to a host of products bearing the names of celebrities such as David and Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez.

In 2005, it expanded its portfolio when it bought Unilever's prestige fragrance division in a deal worth $800 million.
