Lister was international brand director for Coors Light before Coors Brewers bought the former Bass empire earlier this year.
After the integration of the Bass brands into Coors, he became brand director for Coors Light, reporting into marketing and international development director Mark Hunter.
Lister has quit because he does not wish to relocate to Coors' new headquarters at Burton-on-Trent. The company plans to replace him.
Coors Light is currently sold only in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, but Coors plans to use the Carling distribution network to roll out the brand to England and Wales early next year. The brief is to challenge other premium-packaged lagers such as Budweiser.
