Cooper, whose international hits include anthems 'School's Out', 'Hey Stoopid' and 'Feed My Frankenstein', will present the breakfast show from his home town of Phoenix, Arizona in the US, with occasional visits to London for special broadcasts.
His show will air from 6am-9am weekdays, with a best of session running on the station from 10am to 1pm. He will join rock legends including Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman and Black Sabbath's guitarist Tony Iommi who already have shows on the station.
Cooper said: "I get to play all the stuff that doesn't get played elsewhere... Who'd want to have breakfast with Alice Cooper. Can you imagine that?"
The station is available on DAB digital radio across the UK, on Sky channel 861, on cable on NTL channel 880 and on Telewest 924.
The station recently won Gold Digital Terrestrial Station of the Year at the Sony Radio Academy Awards.
Cooper, real name Vincent Furnier, had previously taken to the UK airwaves with a slot on Virgin Radio's Classic Rock station in June last year.
