Conduit takes on Steve Willcocks as managing director

LONDON – Database marketing firm Conduit has appointed non-executive director and VoxGen marketing chief Steve Willcocks to the new role of managing director.

Willcocks joins from speech recognition company VoxGen where he was responsible for marketing and business development. Previously, he worked as client service director at Razorfish and has held data roles at Generator Data Marketing, CACI and Dun & Bradstreet.

Conduit, whose clients include BMW, Carphone Warehouse and IBM, was bought out by its management team Mike Gray and Mike Pulvertaft in 2001.

Gray, now director at Conduit, said: "In the three years since the management buyout we have managed to extend Conduit's reach, strengthen our proposition, strengthen our account teams and, as a result, we have significantly increased our turnover and profitability."

"With myself and Mike Pulvertaft working closely with Steve, we will drive Conduit forward to the next stage of our development -- and really begin to lead the business data marketplace."
