Comscore launches European office to be headed by Yahoo! director

LONDON - US consumer behaviour research company ComScore Networks has launched Comscore Europe and appointed Yahoo! research director Bob Ivins to head the new office in London.

Comscore Networks measures consumer behaviour and attitudes for clients including Universal McCann, Nestle, GlaxoSmithKline and AOL in the US.

The European office was set up as a result of local and international demand for increased presence in the area.

Magid Abraham, president and chief executive of Comscore Networks, said: "Client demand for our services in Europe has grown rapidly in recent years, and the time is right to offer an expanded set of capabilities under strong leadership."

A media research veteran and former research director for Yahoo! Europe, Ivins will take the role of managing director of Comscore Europe.

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Ivins held senior posts at AC Nielsen, Dynamic Logic and Media Metrix, prior to the company's acquisition by Comscore in 2002, in a career spanning more than 20 years.
