Competition: Haribo builds on success of Dance Mayhem

Haribo fruit chew brand Maoam is hoping to build on the success of last year's Dance Mayhem promotion, with a re-run - this time partnering with Smash Hits! magazine for added impact.

This year's Dance Mayhem launches at the beginning of March, and focuses on a competition to find the UK's best under-18s freestyle dancer.

The two winners of the grand final, which is due to be held in September, will dance in the pop video of boyband Freefaller and be given the chance to win a place on the books of dance and model agency Accelerate Productions.

The partnership deal with Smash Hits! to run alongside the activity was forged through Band and Brown Communications. It will see four covermounts provided by Maoam in March, May, July and November. Maoam bars will also carry Smash Hits! branding throughout the year.

In return, there will be editorial coverage of the competition in Smash Hits! itself, its newsletter and its website, and Dance Mayhem-related competitions during the promotional period.
