The Compass Group, owner of Leith's, Payne and Gunter and Lime Venue Portfolio, is freezing pay among its top earners until July.
The listed company, which has been hit by stock market instability, is freezing the pay of 1,000 of its senior management in its UK & Ireland business.
The firm, which operates across the catering sector, including schools, defence and events, has more than 60,000 staff.
A company spokesman said the firm would review the situation in July.
