Colin Lloyd appointed chairman of National Letterbox Marketing

LONDON - Colin Lloyd, the former chairman of the DMA, has been appointed chairman of National Letterbox Marketing to oversee its transformation from a leaflet distribution firm to a door-drop marketing agency.

Lloyd, who has worked in the direct marketing, sales promotion and advertising industry for more than 35 years, will guide the company through its next phase of growth, including strategic development and new business opportunities.

Keith Bradley, managing director of National Letterbox Marketing, said: "Over the past year, we've seen tremendous growth within the company and have had great success being sales led. However, we recognised the need for someone with wider commercial experience to build on those successes and to see the bigger picture."

Lloyd stepped down as chairman of the DMA in April after nine years at the helm. At the time, he said he would not be taking on another full-time role, but would increase his number of executive board appointments.

Lloyd is also chairman of the Communication, Advertising and Education Foundation (CAM), and TrustUK, a government-backed organisation that promotes safe e-commerce.

In addition, he sits on the boards of Card Protection Plan and e-commerce company Trustmark International.

He is also chairman of Interactive Prospect Targeting, which uses the internet to collect data, target consumers and professionals, and share revenues with partner websites.

In August, he announced he was joining the board of Response Direct Publishing (RDP).
