Coke to focus on Euro 2004 stars

Coca-Cola has unveiled a star-studded TV campaign to support its sponsorship of this summer's Euro 2004 football tournament.

The activity will feature football stars representing teams from across Europe, such as England's Wayne Rooney, Portugal's Luis Figo, Holland's Ruud Van Nistelrooy and France's Thierry Henry.

Breaking on Friday, the four ads will focus on the game's wide appeal.

They show regular people such as a boy in a village, a dustman and a farmer kicking a ball, and end with one of the stars showing off their skills.

All four versions of the ads, created by Spanish agency SRA Rushmore, will run across Europe.

The campaign builds on Coca-Cola GB's existing on-pack promotion offering free branded footballs.
