COI Communications has appointed The Leith Agency to create a new ad campaign designed to address the problem of homelessness.
Overseen by the Department of Transport, Environment and the Regions, the campaign launches this winter as part of a drive to cut the number of people living rough on Britain's streets.
The COI declined to reveal specific details of the campaign, but a spokesman said: 'The campaign will encourage members of the public to make a positive contribution to rebuild the lives of homeless people.'
The win is Leith's first piece of government business since winning a place on the COI roster. It won the account after a four-way pitch against M&C Saatchi, WCRS and BMP DDB earlier this year.
Leith will work alongside the government's Rough Sleepers Unit and homeless charities on the campaign, which is expected to take in national outdoor and print advertising. The budget is understood to be around pounds 500,000.
