COI Communications is conducting a review of the creative duties on the Department of Trade and Industry-backed Business Link.
The incumbent agency, Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, will repitch for the 拢2 million business against the COI roster agencies HHCL/Red Cell and Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners.
Media planning and buying, handled by PHD, is unaffected. A result is expected at the end of the month.
Business Link is run by the Small Business Service, an executive agency of the DTI, which aims to help UK small businesses. The service offers advice on investment and starting up, taxes and payroll, employment law and health-and-safety regulations.
The DTI is relaunching the initiative and is calling a pitch to prepare the public for changes to the service.
Creative and media agencies were paired in the original pitch. MCBD picked up the brief with PHD in summer 2002 after triumphing in a four-way pitch against Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Optimedia, Fallon and Mediavest and D'Arcy and Zenith Media.
MCBD's inaugural work on the account featured five children who offered nonsensical advice on how to run a small company.
