COI names Gadd as new content head

LONDON - The Central Office of Information (COI) has appointed David Gadd as head of monitoring and content delivery.

The post, which emerged following a recent reorganisation of COI, will see Gadd lead the Government's News Distribution Service, Media Monitoring Unit and Regions Monitoring.

Gadd will lead a 35-strong team, with an emphasis on boosting COI's news distribution through media targeting and pushing new channels for video and audio content.

He is currently web editor at IPC Media developing their home interest titles into online brands.

Neil Martinson, COI's Director of news and PR, said Gadd would lead the integration of the Government's media monitoring and news distribution services.
