The weekly 'CNN Marketplace Middle East' will begin broadcasting on September 28 and will be hosted by veteran business correspondent John Defterios.
It is expected that similar regional shows for business audiences in China, India and Latin America will be rolled out at a later date.
Only 15 minutes long, the new programme will target the global business community and will cover the Middle East's stock, currency, commodity and bond markets as well the latest business news.
Debra Kocher, vice president of CNN International, who was in Dubai this week with Defterios to promote the show, said the programme would differentiate itself from its competitors by placing the Middle East at the crossroads of major transactions and trade relations with the rest of the world.
Kocher, the show's executive producer, said: "The show is not meant to focus on the region for the region. It's going to focus on how the region impacts the rest of the world.
"It will look at the deals that are being done that reach outside of this region, and it's been created for a global audience."
The show will be produced in Atlanta and London, although it will draw on a pool of reporters in bureaus across the Middle East, including Cairo, Beirut and Dubai. Defterios, who will anchor the programme in London, is expected to visit the region once a month.
Kocher said: "We believe this is going to be the first of several 15 minute regional business programmes, but we thought this one was the one to launch as it's a vibrant time now for business in this region."
English language competitors such as BBC World and Bloomberg already have weekly business shows dedicated to the Middle East.
