5.30am Alarm goes off, get gym clothes on, grab an apple. Leave the house. It's a leisurely drive as most people are still in bed.
6.30am Meet personal trainer at the gym to do "death circuits".
7.55am Call from gym to my son (aged six) on his way to school.
8.30am Prepare a wholesome four-course breakfast of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, porridge and yoghurt to get me set up for the day.
8.35am The early starters in my management team use this opportunity to talk to me while I eat. Very satisfying problem solving so early in the morning.
9.00am Weekly management meeting with senior team to talk about work going through the agency this week - preceded by banter, jokes and the latest gossip ... (always a revelation).
10.30am Meeting with the BBC to check that the general public are still paying their TV licence.
12.30pm Discussion with Lou (Barber, managing director) about operations and resource - Q4 always a big push and very busy.
1.30pm Have lunch and surf net for new season shoe boots - all sold out in my size. Never enough time for clothes shopping. Note to self - stop off at the Gucci duty free shop on way to BBDO meeting in New York next week.
2.00pm IPA Direct Marketing Futures Group meeting - working through agenda, while also sharing gossip on latest pitches, start-ups and start-downs ...
3.45pm Call home to check school day went well and to prompt piano and violin practice.
4.00pm Conference call with Paul (Bennett, managing director of EMEA) in the US about one of our international clients, and an upcoming global pitch.
4.45pm Cup of tea with new graduates - who remind me I am not getting any younger.
5.20pm Book Ocado delivery for the weekend - party at ours.
8.00pm Dinner. Manage small conversation with the husband while watching Sky+ed Strictly Come Dancing.
9.25pm Kiss son on head.
9.27pm Kiss husband on lips.
9.30pm Tucked up in bed with my book. Love going to bed early, plus need the ZZZs for more death circuits tomorrow.
