Emap Advertising has clinched a cross-media deal with Clearasil for
two of its Smash Hits Poll Winners' categories, the official party and
tour.
The teenage skin products brand will be the official sponsor of the
'Most Fanciable Male' and 'Most Fanciable Female' categories in the
upcoming poll.
Clearasil will be offered sponsorship credits and advertorials in Smash
Hits throughout the year. The advertorials will encourage people to vote
and offer free tickets to the poll winners' party.
There will also be a series of Clearasil display advertising slots that
will feature in Smash Hits and Match throughout the voting period over
the next few months.
In addition, a branded microsite within the Smash Hits website will
offer information on the poll winners' party in London.
Radio promotions will run for six weeks from 15 October across Emap's
radio stations. Listeners will be asked to nominate acts for awards
on-air.
Barnaby Luff, Clearasil senior product manager at Crookes Healthcare,
said: "Being attractive to the opposite sex is a concern for all teens,
so this event was a natural choice for the brand."
