Clear Channel has new billboard boss

Clear Channel Outdoor has appointed Steve Davis as its new billboard development director in a bid to maximise the performance of its 8,000 large-format sites.

Davis has been promoted from head of the company's development team and will now report to group development director Pat Chaundy.

Davis replaces Cliff Pratt who has been made assets director at the company.

Davis joined Clear Channel's development team in 2005 and has since held responsibility for Clear Channel Connect, as well as its airport, Somerfield, Sainsbury's and shopping mall contracts.

Before joining Clear Channel, Davis worked for VNU Publishing and for Media Week publisher, Haymarket.

Clear Channel Billboards is one of four premier brands at Clear Channel that includes Pinnacle, Taxi Media and Adshel, which offers point-of-sale ads in more than 80 UK retail locations, including the Somerfield chain.
