Claudia Schiffer used to lure business to invest in Germany

LONDON – A poster campaign for German investment initiative 'Land of Ideas', featuring the supermodel Claudia Schiffer, has been created by German-based agency Scholz & Friends to get more large companies to invest in the country.

The Dusseldorf-born model, who is also the face of L'Oreal, is pictured in one poster wearing only the German flag and holding a football in another.

The posters will be sited at major financial sites in New York, London and Tokyo.

In London, they will read "You don't have to be able to spell Mittelstandsentlastungsgesetz to profit from it".

To show the strength of German exports, the names of football heroes imported to the UK from Germany, Jens Lehmann, Dietmar Hamann and Bert Trautmann, are listed in another execution.

Scholz & Friends said it hopes the "Follow your Instincts. Invest in Germany" headline will appeal to investors from the major global economic centres.
