
Clacksons has been appointed to handle national sales contracts for the Belfast Media Group, the Congleton Chronicle Series and Garnett Dickinson Publishing.
The Midlands-based Regional Advertising Company handled sales for a number of independent publishers from its headquarters in Derby, including the Belfast Media Group, Cheadle & Tean Times, Garnett Dickinson Publishing, George Boyden & Son, Hampshire Media, Heads (Congleton), The Cleethorpes Chronicle and Trident Midland Newspapers, as well as part of Tindle Newspapers.
Clacksons has already picked up the contract for the Tindle titles, which include the Cambrian News and the Tenby Observer. Arrange-ments for the other publishers are still to be confirmed.
Belfast Media Group publishes three titles, including the biweekly Andersonstown News, and weekly North Belfast News and South Belfast News, which have a combined circulation of 45,028, according to latest ABC data.
The Congleton Chronicle series publishes three paid-for newspapers - the Congleton Chronicle, the Biddulph Chronicle and the Sandbach Chronicle - with a combined circulation of about 15,500 (unaudited) and a fortnightly, pick-up publication, the Moorlands Trader, with a circulation of just under 16,500 (unaudited).
Garnett Dickinson publishes the weekly paid-for Rotherham Advertiser and two free weekly newspapers, the Rotherham Record and the Dearne Valley Weekender, which have a combined circulation of 143,326 (ABC). Garnett Dickinson also publishes Chase, an A4 lifestyle magazine, and South Yorkshire Business, a free bimonthly title.
