Clacksons keeps Archant contract

LONDON - Regional sales house Clacksons has retained the multi-million pound national sales contract for Archant's newspapers, lifestyle magazines and websites.

The contract has been renewed, without a pitch, for 18 months and is worth more than £1m to Clacksons.
Adrian Jeakings, Archant chief executive, said: "Archant has had a long and successful relationship with Clacksons and we are delighted to continue working with them."

Archant's national sales form the bulk of Clacksons' business. Archant Regional owns four daily titles, 26 weekly paid-for and 33 weekly free newspapers and around 100 websites.

The magazine divisions, Archant Life and Archant Specialist, publish 80 magazines. Clacksons also sells national ads for Midlands-based Observer Standard Newspapers, Bedfordshire-based LSN Media, Cornwall-based Tindle Newspaper Group and the Barnsley Chronicle.

Adrian Worsley, managing director, Clacksons, said the company was "well placed to gain" in the current market.
