Cyclists will set their fastest time for a 250m sprint on outdoor static Watt bikes, competing alongside sporting figures including James Cracknell, Rebecca Romero and Paralympic flag bearer Danny Crates.
The victors of the speed test will win a place on this year’s Deloitte RAB ride from 8 –16 September, which raises money for the British Paralympic Association (BPA).
The fastest time set by a team of three people from one company will all win a Deloitte RAB cycling kit.
Co-founder of Deloitte RAB, James Cracknell said: "The City 250 Challenge is a rare chance for workers in the City to show us what they’re made of. I’m looking forward to finding who has got what it takes to join us in September on the start-line of the Deloitte RAB ride."
Tim Hollingsworth, chief executive of the BPA, said: "London 2012 presents a great opportunity for the BPA to help change perceptions of disability, through the incredible performances of our athletes. I hope lots of people are able to come down to the speed challenge and experience a little of what Deloitte Ride Across Britain is about."
