City AM is handed out by a team of 170 distributors in the City and at Canary Wharf, prompting concern that readers are ignoring the title at the end of their journeys.
Lawson Muncaster, the managing director of City AM, said: "Our research shows the average time between arriving at a destination and starting work is 31 minutes so we always knew there was this gap for the product."
Agencies also raised concerns about the practicality of getting more than 60,000 copies of the title into commuters' hands. Muncaster said this had not been a problem and that by the third day of printing (Wednesday) it had increased distribution to more than 70,000 copies.
Distribution has increased from 10,000 to 20,000 copies in Canary Wharf.
