CIM adds duo to management of 'marketing hub'

The Chartered Institute of Marketing has made two senior appointments as it reinvents itself as a "hub of marketing practice".

Jonathan Dutton has joined in the role of enterprises director, responsible for business operations, development of its training business and new CIM ventures. John Coke becomes finance director.

They will be part of the CIM's senior management team, alongside education director Heather Davison and chief executive Peter Fisk.

The team will be completed following the appointment of a marketing director and two further directors, to head departments.

The 'insights' team will identify key issues and build a body of knowledge that can be accessed by marketers, while the 'networks' team will develop a community of the world's leading marketers through which the information can be shared.

Fisk said: "The team and structure create an organisation based on developing world-class content as well as innovative ways for marketers to access this."
