The Chrysalis Group’s London radio sales team is looking for three
account planners as part of a staff shake-up to improve the way it deals
with agencies.
As part of the changes, Gerard Bridges, sales director at Chrysalis, has
promoted account manager Eliza Tompkins to the role of senior account
manager.
Three account planners have been promoted to account manager
positions.
Theo Ellory, Abigail Wilson and Daniel Aldersley arrived at Chrysalis as
graduate planners and will continue to sell radio to agencies.
Bridges is now on the hunt for three account planners to replace
them.
The 29-strong Chrysalis sales team is divided into three groups that
sell across the Century, Heart and Galaxy brands and predominantly
target the top media agencies in London.
Bridges commented on the restructure: ’Our main concern here is to
improve our levels of service to agencies. Although we do have some
client responsibility, we don’t have enough to create a separate client
sales team.’
The team works closely with Carat, Zenith, Initiative, Motive, BMP OMD
and MediaCom TMB. Regular big-spending clients include Vodafone, BT and
Ford.
Bridges said Chrysalis’s revenue growth from the top 20 agencies had
increased by 70 per cent over the past 12 months.
The Chrysalis Radio Group announced at the end of last month that it
will apply for the forthcoming regional radio licence for the East
Midlands.
It plans to operate its Galaxy 106.4 service on a trial restrictive
service licence in preparation for its bid.
