Royal & Sun Alliance has appointed Chime Communications, the parent of HHCL & Partners, AMD Advertising and Bell Pottinger, to rebrand and relaunch its 12 property companies and estate agencies.
The pounds 5 million brief will see HHCL overhauling retail chains, developing a new brand identity and creating a launch ad campaign. It is unclear how it will affect R&SA's relationship with its main agency, McCann-Erickson.
It is thought that R&SA wants to reposition its property arm as an online and offline property and home services company. Brands in the portfolio include Barnard Marcus, Fox & Sons and Allen & Harris.
Chime's appointment is part of a wider brief from R&SA's eGlobal Ventures ideas incubator.
R&SA also has a stake in rightmove.co.uk, the online property portal that moved its pounds 6 million creative account to Wallis Tomlinson in January.
Fellow Chime companies are also thought to be involved as marketing partners, with HHCL taking the overall creative and strategic brief, Bell Pottinger handling PR and AMD Advertising dealing with through-the-line and regional ad work.
No-one at HHCL or R&SA would confirm the deal.
