Cheetham Bell, which was acquired by WPP in 2001, is moving into MediaCom North’s Spinningfields offices and will share resources such as financials, HR and compliance.
A spokeswoman said that they will remain as separate legal entities within WPP and Cheetham Bell will keep its own identity. The move follows the integration of Code Computerlove into MediaCom North 18 months ago.
Andy Cheetham will continue in the role of executive creative director and chairman of Cheetham Bell, joined by newly appointed Mark Harrison who will become managing director.
Harrison returns to Manchester after spending 14 years in London working for M&C Saatchi, Karmarama and Mother.
Karen Blackett, the UK country manager for WPP, said: "A key pillar of our UK business strategy is to continue to strengthen and grow our offering of world-class marketing and communications services for our clients. With a recognition that many of our clients are located outside of London, our regional offices are central to this."
