The 20-year-old singer from Cardiff appears in the ad for Walkers Lime and Thai Spice Sensations, dressed as a glamorous movie star in an emerald green, 1930s-style, satin dress, while Lineker plays a waiter. The ad was created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and directed by Paul Weiland.
With names like Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Helena Christensen, Gordon Ramsay and Victoria Beckham previously appearing in ads for its Sensations brand, Walkers is no stranger to using high-profile celebrities to promote its product.
The campaign comes despite criticism from pressure groups that famous faces should not be used to promote junk food to a nation with a growing problem of obesity among the young. With the government actively trying to address this problem, Walkers had reduced the saturated fat content of its crisps by 70%, which now equals 8% of the guideline daily allowance in each pack.
"I absolutely love crisps and I've always found the ads really funny," Church said. "Gary was great to work with, but did try to nick my crisps. I wasn't having any of it."
Lineker said: "It was fun working with Charlotte on the new commercial. She was very different from Victoria and Tara, who I worked with on previous Sensations commercials."
The ad will break on April 26.
