
Horton, who is the deputy editor at More!, replaces Lisa Smoarski, who is leaving the weekly title to become editor of Shortlist Media’s soon-to-be-launched Stylist magazine.
Horton has been the deputy editor at the magazine for three years.
She started her career as an editorial assistant and then features editor at Emap’s J17 magazine.
She then joined the sister teen title Bliss, where she was the assistant editor, then deputy editor. Bauer Media acquired Emap's consumer magazine division in 2007.
More!, which is aimed at 18- to 25-year-olds, moved from fortnightly two years ago. The title was relaunched last year to appeal to an older, more sophisticated readership.
